Welcome to the Silicon Valley Queer Film Festival, Produced and Managed by Fishnets & Film, Inc.
Our mission at SVQFF is to foster and celebrate Queer Cinema through the selections and screenings of current LGBTQ+ films from all over the world. We join other Queer Film Festivals in our mission.
We have our current Library available now through Saturday August 31, 2024. During this time, we will ‘stream’ ALL must-see films from our Official Selections this session. These films represent stories from within our LGBTQ+ community. We ensure our viewers that our selection of films represent a wide range in voice, content, tone, and style. Films included in this Season were made in the USA, the Netherlands, and Australia.
Our online festival is unique from other online film festivals and is designed to be an enjoyable & personal experience for our viewers and filmmakers. Our films are organized in a user-friendly manner. We provide information about the films, including Country of Origin and synopsis. With the consent of our filmmakers, we provide filmmaker contact information, so viewers can contact the filmmaker [or film representative] directly and follow them through any listed social media channels. We believe this allows more engagement during our ‘online festival’ with the opportunity to bridge our viewers with our filmmakers.
Our online festival is password-protected and accessible upon registration. Once you enter your password, you may access all Festival pages at any time during the festival period. In other words, watch the films at your leisure, with anyone, from any device. To receive your password, browse our registration options below and make your selection.
We offer a pay-what-you-want option and provide a password for all registrants. Monies raised by our on-line film festivals will help cover costs needed to maintain our website, film storage, and security plug-ins.
On behalf of our participating filmmakers, we look forward to your registration and thank you for your support of Queer Cinema. We look forward to sharing these stories with you!
